Regarding hearings for Monday July 7, 2025
After having reviewed the films with Jockey Dane Nelson regarding the use of the riding crop in race 8, Monday July 7, 2025. Mr. Nelson used the riding crop when the horse was clearly out of the race, therefore Mr. Nelson was issued a fine of $100.00.
After having had a hearing on Friday, July 11, 2025, and reviewing the films with Jockey Adrian Gonzalez regarding the disqualification in Race 1 Monday July 7, 2025, Mr. Gonzalez was held blameless, therefore no penalty was warranted.
Regarding hearings for Friday July 11, 2025
Race 3 – Jockey Tevin Foster was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the board of stewards to review films. After reviewing films, Mr. Foster was issued $100.00 fine for failing to maintain a straight course away from the gate.
Race 5 – Jockey Rashaun Griffith was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the board of stewards for misuse of the riding crop. After reviewing films, Mr. Griffith was issued a warning.
